We’ve developed a flexible volunteer model that lets you contribute based on your availability. Whether you have an hour a week or can dive into a full project, there’s space for you to get involved. You can start small or go all in. It’s totally up to you.

Nope! While many of our volunteers come through Climatebase, we’re open to anyone who shares our mission and wants to get involved. The more, the merrier!
Greener Gatherings is a volunteer-led project at this stage, so we’re not able to offer payment. However, we’re deeply committed to making this a meaningful and rewarding experience. Volunteers gain hands-on experience, public recognition, and a real-world portfolio of impact-driven work.
Absolutely, and we encourage it! Many of our volunteers list their projects with Greener Gatherings on LinkedIn and use them as proof of their experience in the climate space. We’ll even feature your work on our website and social media when it’s ready to share.

Content & Marketing Strategy: Dream up, plan, and execute awesome content across all our platforms—social media, email, blogs, and more!
Collaboration & Roadmap Development: Work with your Co-Lead and the co-founders to craft a content roadmap, set meaningful goals, and refine our messaging to inspire action.
Volunteer Coordination & Onboarding: Support and guide content team volunteers in brainstorming, creating, and publishing content—plus help welcome and onboard new volunteers to the team.
Editorial Management: Keep us on track! Ensure content goes out on schedule, update our editorial calendar, and track what’s working (and what’s not) so we can keep improving.
Community Engagement: Spark conversations, build relationships, and make sure our audience feels heard and inspired to celebrate more sustainably.
Collaboration & Growth: Work hand-in-hand with your Co-Lead to divide tasks, share insights, and collectively make our content shine—while learning and growing together!

Key Responsibilities
We’re looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to help ensure every Greener Gatherings volunteer feels informed, included, and inspired. You’ll be the go-to person for volunteer recruitment and onboarding, and you'll help us foster a sense of community and purpose within our team.
Help ensure our new volunteers are well-supported from the first point of contact through onboarding and integration into the team.
Manage and improve volunteer onboarding processes, documentation, and tracking.
Coordinate with our Co-Founders and team Co-leads to match volunteers with roles based on interests and skills.
Maintain regular, friendly communication with volunteers, checking in on their experience and offering support where needed.
Assist with recruiting new volunteers through social media, partnerships, and other creative outreach.
Contribute to building an inclusive, welcoming, and energizing volunteer culture.
Track volunteer engagement and share insights or recommendations with co-founders and team leads.
